Legs Up the Wall it's a  inverted pose ,great for legs, spine, feet, hips and nervous system.
I love it and I do it daily , it's the easiest way for me to take a break, calm down and feel relaxed.

Legs Up the Wall gives you relief from :

- menopause
- migraines
- urinary disorders
- diagestive problems
- muscle tension
- insomnia
- depression
- anxiety
- high and low blood pressure

To practice this posture it's one of easiest ways of calming your mind and relaxing your body and heart, have few minutes for yourself and feel recharged.

How to do it :

It's super easy :)

Take your mat and place it against the wall, lie on the mat and slowly  walk your buttocks all the way up against the wall. Gently extend your legs straight to the wall. If your hamstrings feel tight , then you may walk your hips bit away from the wall, or you can bend your knees . With consistent practice over time, you will have your legs straight. Use a folded blanket under your head if necessary.  Make sure your chin is slightly lower than your forehead. Your neck must feel comfortable ( You can place a rolled towel under your neck ). Arms can be out to your sides, palms face up ( i like sometimes to put my hands on the belly , making first sure that my shoulders are relaxed )
Breath very slowly and deeply

To come out of the pose, slowly bend your knees and roll over on to your right side, stay for few deep breaths, gently get up (its important to stay before standing up, its  gives your blood pressure time to adjust )

Legs up the wall its as well called  "destroyer of old age" !!

Precautions
"Be careful when lifting your legs to the upright position if you have lower back or hip pain. One way to relieve excess strain on the lower back is to use a rolled-up yoga mat, towel or pillow.

Like any inversion, people with glaucoma should avoid this pose. In some yoga practices, doing this inversion while menstruating is not advised. Do not do this if you have a hernia of any kind. Also, if you have high or low blood pressure, be careful when performing this pose for extended periods of time or avoid it altogether. Lifting your legs higher than your heart can increase blood pressure and lead to heart and other health problems. The same warning is also suggested after completion of the pose when you transition from lying to the standing position. Standing suddenly can cause blood pressure fluctuations which can lead to serious injury."

Enjoy and stay relaxed x
